I found these new Mediheal masks while I was shopping at Holt Renfrew as they now carry a decent selection of Kbeauty at affordable pricing! It seems a bit unusual for a luxury department store to be carrying sheet masks for $3, but I am not complaining! Now, I can pick up Dior as well as the latest in Korean skincare all in one place which is both convenient and dangerous!

Sigh, it's Sunday and I am taking my morning at an incredibly slow pace as I write this post as I am so very exhausted from my work week. There was a lot going on and I am peopled out, but at least there was no ridiculous workplace drama to contend with!

I have, what I am anticipating to be a busy week coming up as there will be a few vacations and generally that means that we are spread out a bit more thinly. Hopefully there won't be too much drama and the week will go by seamlessly and MAYBE will even be a little fun! Up for today's #SheetMaskSunday post is none other than one of the sheet mask greats - Mediheal! They have a seemingly endless supply of sheet masks that I can never keep up with and all of them have performed well and have been fun at the same time!

Using these Mediheal masks has made me realize how long it has been since I have been to Miniso, which is where I picked these masks up! What actually got my attention was the Nattogum mask because my mom used to eat it all the time when I was a kid and if you don't know what it is (fermented soybeans), it's a very acquired taste IMO! It has a really particular smell and I don't know if I could eat it now, but I remember really not liking the scent! 

SHEET MASK | Mediheal Bio Capsulin Love Me Mask Set (BTS Special Edition)

The last week was probably the first time in awhile that I have written less than three blog posts mainly because of a viral infection that I have been fighting in my eye for the last seven days. It started as just my eye feeling like there was a bit of dust or some irritant in my eye on Sunday last week and then by the next morning, it was swollen and red and even with antibiotics, it progressively got more and more swollen until I ended up being referred to an ophthalmologist on Friday because my eye was so swollen that I could no longer see properly and the current antibiotics I was on were doing nothing. He gave my eyeball a look and said "Well, that's one swollen eyeball!" He gave me a new round of antibiotic eye drops that had cortisone in them to take down the swelling and after one day of use, I can already feel a bit of the pressure dying down. The doctor warned me that I might be living with this infection for as long as 10 days since viruses tend to be extremely stubborn, but I hope I heal faster because this has been incredibly irritating to deal with and I am also really weird about things going wrong with my eyes. I just get freaked out when it comes to anything involving the eyes because they seem so fragile as an organ even though I know that there are so many protective mechanisms for them!

SHEET MASK | Mediheal Line Friends Edition

I have a feeling that by now, a large portion of you have seen this rabbit, bear and chick in various places. Originally developed for use as stickers or emojis for the messaging app LINE, Cony (rabbit), Brown (bear) and Sally (chick) now have a following of their own similar to Hello Kitty and the Sanrio gang. Though I consider myself fairly "Canadianized", I will admit that I have sought out LINE friends paraphernalia like cell phone cases and household accessories. When I first picked up the Mediheal Line Friends edition of their bestselling sheet masks, I just thought the packaging was cute and did not know about the characters. I thought this packaging was limited edition, but I have seen it sold in-store and online with updated expiration dates so it looks like you can get them anytime!

SHEET MASK | Mediheal Greenteatree Meshpeel Mask

Firstly, I want to say that just because Cosmetic Proof will go back to mainly beauty content doesn't mean I am forgetting about the fact that we are in the midst of a global civil movement. This is so big and impossible to ignore without tremendous effort at this point so I will do my best to uplift brands owned by people of colour with a focus on black and indigenous ownership. For now, I will probably stick to Canadian businesses as the US exchange is awful right now but I will make exceptions if a product or brand looks promising so stay tuned for the rest of 2020 to have some more brand diversity!

SHEET MASK | Mediheal Capsule 100 Bio Seconderm Clear Alpha Hyaluronic Acid Mask

For those of you who have been at home for 2-3 weeks, I have to give you props because it has only been one week for me and I am already semi-ready to get back to work. I think because I can't really do much from home, I end up wanting to do a blend of blog and house things, but because my husband is actually working from home, I can't make noise like vacuum. I also can't organize my beauty things because that involves being in the beauty room which is now my husband's office 24/7 where they do their video conference calls and happy hours. This leaves me to the kitchen where I have been spending a large chunk of my time (like everyone else it seems!) which if you knew me, is very odd as I am not that domestic. I don't have good cooking instincts, BUT I know how to follow instructions and memorize things so really for me, practice makes perfect and having this time to do so is nice. Time has also forced me to revisit some sheet masks that I purchased back in Montreal from my last visit in 2018 where I made it my mission to seek out hidden kbeauty stores around the city starting with this 2-step biocellulose mask from Mediheal!

KBEAUTY | Mediheal x BT21 Face Point Masks #100DaysofSheetMasks

I am going to try my best to review the masks I used in my #100DaysofSheetMasks challenge by the end of this month, but with just 10 days left to go in November (WTF!) I am cuttin' it real close! In the last week of the challenge I was DYING to use my new Mediheal x BT21 Face Point Masks which I discovered on YesStyle.ca while hunting for mini masks after finding the ones from MaskerAide SO CUTE! If you are a BTS and/or Kpop fan you will know that the boyband BTS is basically ruling the world right now, even making their way a number of times onto the Ellen show! BT21 is the first collaboration of the Line Friends creators with eight characters all designed by BTS themselves. Six of the characters have their own mini mask in collaboration with Mediheal and though I was thisclose to buying all six, common sense kicked in and I bought the characters I thought were the cutest!

SKINCARE | Mediheal Line Friends E.G.T Timetox Ampoule Mask Review

Hey, hey, hey! It's sheet mask time again! A lot of the masks I try to feature here on Cosmetic Proof are predominantly for the fun factor because I love a good, honest mask selfie. Some sheet masks are for show while others may look boring, but are in actual fact highly effective. Today's sheet mask is a little bit of both and was a collaboration between well known Korean sheet mask brand Mediheal and Line Friends! Line is a mobile messaging app that I started using a couple of years ago and within the app are very expressive sticker emojis that eventually became a character line beloved by all.
