 Evereden Golden Body Serum

Product provided by Influenster

Oh my goodness will you look at that?! I have something from Influenster! The last time I received something was back in early 2020 and so I am always surprised when I qualify for any of these Voxboxes as I often don't have time to do the snaps and I am generally much older than their target audience and do not have children which often disqualifies me from a number of campaigns. You can imagine my surprise when I was informed via the Instagram app that I had an Evereden Golden Body Serum coming my way as this is a brand that I had seen on Sephora catering to pregnant women/women with kids/kids. I actually came across the brand when I was searching for "sheet mask" and the Evereden Belly Sheet Mask popped up!

Evereden Golden Body Serum

In a nutshell, this is basically a children's skincare brand with a focus on "scientifically proven clean ingredients differentiating from the marketing noise of 'organic' and 'natural' to ensure formulas that meet a mother's standard". Normally I would roll my eyes at this terminology, but baby skin IS a little bit different than adult skin and generally much more sensitive so I would believe that there probably aren't as many skincare options available for babies. There are a couple of things from the Evereden website that have me frowning especially around the debate between physical and chemical sunscreens and their use of EWG scores for ingredients, but I think at this point we just need to agree to disagree.

Founded by ex-investment banker, Kimberley Ho, Evereden was born when Kimberley's friends in Asia would ask her to bring back more natural products for their babies and children that were not available in Asia whenever she visited (Kimberley is from Malaysia like me!). Kimberley found that there weren't many options that were non-irritating so she assembled a team of pediatric dermatologists from Stanford and Harvard medicine to build products that were both naturally-sourced and backed by science. The products themselves are very cute with little 3-step routines for kids consisting of cleanser, moisturizer and of course a physical sunscreen (Evereden does not carry chemical sunscreens to avoid possible irritation on children's skin).

Evereden Golden Body Serum

I was sent the Golden Body Serum which is an all-over vegan body treatment to visibly tone, smooth and brighten skin that is safe to use for all skin types as well as during pregnancy and breast-feeding. This body serum feels to me like a lightweight dry body oil and is composed of avocado, coconut, rosehip, marula and sunflower seed oil along with bakuchiol and vitamin C. So, I just thought this would be like any other body oil, but this was FANTASTIC! Firstly, the scent OMG it is so delicious! It's yummy, but subtle and doesn't smell overwhelming or artificial. I can't quite put my finger on what it is even after looking at the ingredients list, but it is a scent like nothing I have smelled before! Secondly, this has no greasy residue as it all gets absorbed with seconds of massaging into the skin. Even the driest of legs (mine) will have a healthy hydrated shine! If you have extremely dry skin, this serum is lightweight enough to be layered with a moisturizer.

Evereden Golden Body Serum

Final verdict: One of the BEST body oils/serums I have ever used hands down! I am glad this comes in a 100mL bottle because I would want to use this every day this summer at least! The scent is just so delectable and I immediately started thinking about who I could buy this for for Christmas because everything from the beautiful packaging to the scent and texture should be enjoyed by all!
