SHEET MASK | Murad Hydro-Glow Aqua Peel

Murad Hydro-Glow Aqua Peel
Purchased by me

I picked these up from one Sephora's sales awhile back and thought it was so cool that Murad had a sheet mask with the peel swab like a lot Korean 2-step masks! It's a shame that these masks were discontinued because they were actually quite good!

What makes this mask special? Well, obviously the fact that you can chemically exfoliate with a blend of lactic and glycolic acid and a number of fruit acids like apple, grapefruit, lime, lemon and blueberry extract and follow it all up with a super soothing and hydrating sheet mask!

The first time I saw one of these giant acid swabs, I had a bit of a giggle pretending to be a giant human, but I actually prefer the swab vs a cotton pad because then I know the product is all going to my face and not getting absorbed by my hands as well. The swab did not sting at all and smelled a little fruity which was a pleasant surprise until I read the ingredients list and then it made sense! You never know what acid peels are going to smell like, but this one was nice! I also found this peel fairly gentle even on my sensitive cheeks area.

The essence in the sheet mask contained hyalyronic acid, aloe vera, mallow (softening) extract and niacinamide as well as peppermint extract though I do not recall feeling any mintyness while wearing the mask.

The sheet mask itself had a medium thickness, but was drenched in essence so the fit was quite snug. I did have to snip a slit in the chin to reduce the number of wrinkles, but it worked! The mask fabric felt soft on my skin and very soothing. The nose area also fit really well as I did not have to fold it up like I usually do.

Final verdict: Very pleasant mask to use with a subtle glow being revealed after the mask was removed. My skin looked radiant and felt hydrated and I liked getting a bit of exfoliation into my sheet mask routine. It's just a shame this mask isn't made anymore because I would totally get more!

Would you use a sheet mask with a chemical peel built in?
