Slowly, but surely I will catch up with my Ipsy bags! I've actually been enjoying using the products right away as there have been some very pleasant discoveries! Let's get into it!

I am always chasing moisture when it comes to my hair as it has always been so dry and coarse even before I started colouring it, but there has always been a fine line between hydration and losing what precious volume at the roots I have. This area is where the Marc Anthony Hydra Lock Collection took some figuring out for me because I felt like I just couldn't have it all.

I constantly struggle with flat looking roots and the only time I get volume that stays is when I get my hair done at the salon. I watch my stylist work the round brush like nobody's business, but let's face it, it's next to impossible to replicate what they have done. My arms get tired from carrying the weight of a hairdryer and I can never get the back of my head to look as good as the sides because it's just not the same as someone physically being back there and having the right angle and force to pull hair into obedience! Even though I know that blow-drying with a round brush at the roots is best, I have never been consistent about doing it so I look to shampoos and magical hair potions to help me fake it and I have to say that the Marc Anthony Dream Big Volume Collection may have come to the rescue! Initially there were some products in here that I didn't believe would work, but then *VOILA* I had volume!

HAIR | Marc Anthony Nourishing Hemp Oil Collection

Never thought I'd be using cannabis in my hair, but here we are with the newest haircare collection from Marc Anthony featuring the nourishing properties of cannabis sativa oil! Obviously, this collection won't get you high, but you and your hair will feel pretttyy good by the end of all four products!

HAIR | Masking with Marc Anthony

Not only are sheet masks important to me, but hair masks are something I cannot live without! I use a hair mask twice a week and there are dire consequences if I don't! My hair just looks and feels so lackluster that I don't take the risk anymore. While I generally focus on hydration masks, I have been getting more and more into masks that also focus on volume and cleansing the scalp without drying out the rest of my hair (Christophe Robin mask I am talking to YOU!). While I do enjoy salon level hair care products, I have had some great luck with higher end drugstore brands one of which is a long time love of mine - Marc Anthony!

Ipsy | June 2014 “Pretty in Paradise” Glam Bag

So odd to be posting about June when the gears have already shifted into what’s coming for Fall, but luckily most of the items included in June’s Ipsy Bag can be carried over into the coming seasons. I don’t remember much about June only that I was starting something new career-wise and my brain was somewhat scattered. I DID remember being really excited that Michelle Phan decided to included the Korean brand Laneige in this months’ bag which is something you will never see a North American beauty sub do.

I keep blaming “the holidays” for my deep-seeded beauty acquisition issues, but if I’m still using that excuse in March, one of you please stage some sort of intervention!
