HOLIDAY | The mark. Sparkle Collection

"All that glitters is not gold" or in the case of the mark. Sparkle Collection, it sure is! I think most of us are like crows when it comes to sparkly things which is why my brain goes into complete overdrive during the holiday season! With companies like Avon around, there will never ever be a shortage of gift ideas for ANY occasion. Long before beauty blogging became such a big thing, I was (and still do!) flip through the Avon catalogues of my local Avon rep, dog-earring pages of things I want to buy and the Sparkle Collection is definitely "dog-earrable" for anyone who loves the glitter of the holiday season!

The Sparkle EDT* ($38.00 CDN) is a sweet blend of top notes of strawberry essence, mandarin and raspberry puree, middle notes of jasmine essence, peach bellini essence and orange blossom and base notes of chocolate, vanilla cream and sandalwood. Just looking at this list, this is a very sweet fragrance. I Iiked the base notes, but the initial wave of fragrance is sweeter than what I personally would wear, but as the mark. line is geared towards a younger demographic, this would be a great gift for a young girl.

The Sparkle Shimmer Soap* ($14.00 CDN) is glycerin-based and is the same scent as the EDT. In soap-form the scent is much more pleasant and the best part is, the glitter runs all the way through the soap!

My favourite of this collection was the Sparkle Shimmer Lotion* ($22.00 CDN) because the scent was again sweet, but much more subtle than the EDT. The actual lotion is fairly thick and moisturizing unlike some holiday moisturizers than can run more on the body milk side. The shimmer is beautifully golden and stays on the body all day (and night!) Definitely hanging on to this one well through the summer!
