MAKEUP | Lunar New Year Collection with Quo Beauty

Happy Lunar New Year! Though my family has never been big on celebrating, I started getting a few food things over the last few years just to get in the mood. This year, I have not gone to T&T to pick up anything, but I did of course get a fun little LEGO set themed around the The Year of the Tiger and I made sure that I wore red to work yesterday (an all red jumpsuit) as well as some tiger earrings that Shoppers Beauty sent over that were actually pretty fun!

I tried to use mostly Quo Beauty products, but I did have to sneak in some other brands to create this neutral, glowy look. Generally, LNY looks include a red lipstick, but I think looking refreshed and "lit with hope" is also acceptable! My standards for glam have definitely decreased since the beginning of the pandemic and now my focus is more on my mental health and skin. I still love the results of doing my makeup so I will try to post something more glam on here at least once a month! That's the goal!

And here are those earrings that I actually thought were quite cute! Little tiger huggie drop earrings which I think I might hang on to! Some of you know that I work in a luxury jewelry store so I generally don't wear any costume jewels, but these were too cute not to wear!

 

Overall, I though the Quo Beauty Collection LNY release was quite large (there is way more than what I have shown here!) with some very cute packaging. Quality-wise, my favourite product was the eyeshadow palette as all of the shades were cute pigmented and stood out. I had high hopes for the multipigment sticks, but the formula was not as smooth as I would have liked and I really had to blend hard across my cheeks.
