When it comes to skincare and sheet masks,
Jude Chao of the blog Fifty Shades of Snail, has been around for a loooong time and it was one of the first blogs I came across years ago that had very in depth skincare reviews for Asian products and with a great sense of humour! She is also similar in age to me so it's nice to know that what works for her has a high probability of working for me! We have seen SO MANY influencer beauty product launches in recent years, but THIS launch is one I had full trust in just because of how detailed and thoughtfully critical Jude has always been of skincare. The perfect sheet masks were a love letter to all of her followers, readers and support that Jude has received over the years hence the brand name
Love, Jude!

When I saw these sheet masks come out at the beginning of last year, I was definitely a little jealous that I would have to patiently wait until there was a Canadian distributor as I have been trying to limit my cross border purchases just to keep shipping "in the family". When I saw that Renee from See the World in Pink had purchased these masks from Toronto-based Kbeauty store
Bellbees, I FLIPPED and starting putting my basket together!
Love, Jude has three masks each made in Taiwan of a natural black fiber cellulose sheet. You can buy the masks as singles or as a box of 6. Don't know which one to start off with? Get the Sampler Set! This is often sold out, but it contains two of each mask which is the perfect way to get to know the brand and what each mask will do for you. I know I now have my favourite after trying all three!
Cat Pouch Lifting
Let's start by saying the names of these masks and the packaging are adorable! Jude is a cat lover so I am definitely feeling the kitty graphics, but the moment I saw the name "Cat Pouch", I knew that it immediately referred to the "primordial pouch" or saggy flap of skin that all cats have towards the back of their bodies. It's completely healthy and is thought to be a a layer of fatty protection when cats fight, BUT the way it sags and sways is how I picture facial jowls when I am old and grey!
As this mask focuses on sagging, ingredients included in the essence are fun things like soluble collagen, panthenol and seaweed extracts to tighten skin up!
Though the mask material is not the thinnest, there is more than enough essence in each packet to make sure the fibres of the mask are completely soaked so you still have a super close-fitting mask with no chin goatee or lifting! The mask is also very pliable so I had no issues going around the curves of my chin.
Mask Summary:
Price: $3.65 CDN
Skin concerns: Sagging skin
Scent: None
Essence Type: Clear, watery
Duration: 15-25 minutes
Thickness: Medium, but it works with the amount of essence in the package and material is soft and contours nicely to face.
Mask Fit: Very good! This is the first mask I have tried that goes up to my hairline and doesn't fall short on my forehead!
Tackiness: Zero
Hydration: I added either a touch of cream moisturizer or a few drops of face oil.
Other notes: Lots of essence
Firstly, let's start off by saying there is actual radish root in this mask, but from what I have seen this is used more as a plant-based preservative. This is a calming mask that contains willow bark, Centella Asiatica (cica), honey and bamboo extract. For me, I found the results of this mask to be similar to Cat Pouch in terms of how my skin looked directly afterwards.

Three Fingers After Sun Care
If you follow the skincare world, you will definitely understand why this mask is called "Three Fingers"! Three fingers is the appropriate amount of sunscreen to cover your face, neck and ears and I love that the name of this mask is like a little inside joke to those who love skincare. This mask contains calming allantoin, brightening niacinamide, squalane, aloe, soluble collagen, shea butter and two forms of hyaluronic acid. This mask was my FAVOURITE!
After I removed it, my face looked legitimately two shades lighter than my neck! It was so bright and even OMG I couldn't believe it!
Mask Summary:
Price: $3.65 CDN
Skin concerns: Overheated skin, dark spots, hyperpigmentation
Scent: None
Essence Type: Milky
Duration: 15-25 minutes
Thickness: Medium, but it works with the amount of essence in the package and material is soft and contours nicely to face.
Mask Fit: Very good! This is the first mask I have tried that goes up to my hairline and doesn't fall short on my forehead!
Tackiness: Zero

Other notes: Super bright skin upon removal, like shade lighter than my neck brightness!
Final verdict: True to her word, Jude came out with some pretty perfect sheet masks! They fit better than what I have tried with the nose piece being not too long, the forehead being longer and hitting just before the hairline AND they don't leave a sticky or tacky residue! The price of the masks is very reasonable for what you get to experience and I am most definitely going to keep a box of Three Fingers always in my arsenal!
