Hard Formula Eyebrow Pencil*

Shu Uemura Crafted in Japan Collection Review

When Richmond Centre was having their opening in 2014, I attended at event at their Shu Uemura booth and when I arrived I saw one of their SAs sharpening this very eyebrow pencil with what looked like a small sword! This eyebrow pencil is a cult favourite because of its formula which is an oil-activated blend of wax, powder and a semi-solid oil. This means that the colour only shows when combined with the natural oils of the eyebrow. It still has a powder finish though which is kind of crazy! It is long-lasting and smudge-proof which is what we all want in an eyebrow pencil!

Shu Uemura Crafted in Japan Collection Review

How have I not talked about ANY of Shu's cleansing oils before? When we all started hearing about double cleansing almost 10 years ago, Shu Uemura was really the only brand being talked about within the Sephora walls. In my mind, they were the first on the North American market that were known though in Asia there were already many brands available. Over the years, both my husband and I have used the iconic "green one" and "pink one", but the Ultime8 has been by far our favourite! Containing 8 botanical oils, you immediately feel how plush this oil is and how luxurious it feels on the skin. It also leaves the skin feeling especially soft and hydrated versus the "pink one" aka The PORE Finist which is more of a squeaky clean finish (it's still good, but better for oily/combination skin).

Petal 55 Foundation Brush*

I have the regular version of this brush and even when you first hold it, it feels so nice in the palm. There are a total 189,000 bristles that are densely packed so that you only need a little bit of foundation. The bristles are soft and smooth, but firm enough to buff foundation into the skin. The angled sides also allow for application around the nose. This is truly a brush like no other!

Have you used any of these products? If I had to make an recommendation, I would say spring for the cleansing oil the next time there is a promotion as it is one of my most favourite products that I always have on hand!
