In the summer of 2020, one of my favourite sheet mask brands, MaskerAide, decided to add something new to their line up - wash off masks! I have been sitting on this review for awhile not for any particular reason, but this is the year I finally catch up! A detoxifying Matcha clay mask was also released in addition to the Pineapple Brightening Jelly Mask, but I will save that for a separate review because it's pretty awesome too!
Coming in a travel sleeve (3 packets) or a full-sized cylinder (12 packets), this brightening mask is what you will want when your skin needs an instant dose of brightening! Perfect for all skin types, this mask also promises elasticity, smoother skin texture and hydration with its featured ingredients of niacinamide, pineapple extract, coconut water, sweet cherry extract, apple extract and soothing oat extract.
Firstly, though this may say 1 packet = 1 use, I get on average 3 uses out of each single use stick so in terms of cost/use you are looking at just over $0.70 which I think is pretty reasonable. You can use this mask anywhere from 3-5x per week on clean, dry skin and it just takes 5-10 minutes to see results! What I do is apply it just before I am about to take a shower or bath and do some clean up in the kitchen or prepare my bath and by the time I am done, it's time to remove the mask too!
When I first saw the packaging, I thought it was all just SO cute. Obviously these sticks are very travel-friendly and easy to throw right into your cosmetics bag, but make sure people don't think they are food! My husband thought these were powdered beverages and I don't blame him!

The consistency of this mask is a light clear yellow jelly that is easily spreadable and has a very light scent (this mask is free of artificial fragrance).
Final verdict: Yes, just yes! Do this with your kids, with your husband or with a friend because after rinsing this off, I literally said "Oooh!" in the mirror! I don't often notice a big difference in wash off masks that aren't acid peels so I was pleasantly surprised at how quick and gentle this mask was! I highly recommend this mask so be sure to pick up a pack the next time MaskerAide has a promotion!
