Ipsy Bag | March 2014 “Destination Beauty”

I am so glad that I have cut down on my beauty box subs because even with the four I now have, it’s still still brutally hard to keep up! My memories of March are hazy, but thank God there are beauty boxes like Ipsy to jog my memory! They act like “beauty clocks” for me. I loved the makeup bag that the March Ipsy came in and I see now that the Ipsy website is selling a messenger bag in this pattern! Pretty cute, right? The items inside were quite good and pleased me greatly.

NYX  | Love in Rio Eyeshadow in Segredos De Giselle

march 2014 ipsy nyx love in rio

Escape to Rio...if only with your eyes. Inspired by the non-stop action of this exotic city, these 3-color eye shadow palettes give you high-glam, go-anywhere intensity day and night thanks to their highly pigmented formulations. Hit the beach in natural nudes, then dance the night away with a shimmering sweep of juicy color from the dual-ended applicator.

Thoughts: I’ve always liked NYX makeup and have been consistently pleased with the quality. I love this eye shadow trio as it’s a beautiful combination of shimmery colours (my favourite). I just wish it were paraben-free, but I’d still use it.

Pixi Beauty | Flawless Beauty Primer

march 2014 ipsy pixi flawless primer

The Pixi Beauty Flawless Beauty Primer is loaded with skin loving ingredients. Formula contains powerful anti-aging and skin fortifying benefits. Formula suitable for all skin types.

Thoughts: What’s nice about this primer is that it leaves your skin with this slight glow. For summer, I sometimes feel like things can get too bronzy when it comes to “illuminating” products, but this primer just makes you look like you’re glowing. In a good way.

bareMinerals | Marvelous Moxie™ Lipstick in Get Ready

march 2014 ipsy bare minerals lipstick

Make an impact with Marvelous Moxie™ Lipstick. Creamy, super-saturated, ultra-pigmented color glides on like butter for full coverage in a rich satin finish. Lips look fuller and more voluptuous. An infusion of minerals revitalizes lips for a healthy-looking pout, while a moisture-loaded hydrating complex helps to nourish and condition with Abyssinian Oil and Omega Fatty Acids for supple, baby-soft smoothness. All the while, an encapsulated vitamin A, C and E complex helps to deliver antioxidant defense, so you’re ready for anything—and everything.

Thoughts: I have yet to try a lip product from bareMinerals as it was the foundation and mineral eye shadows that have consistently caught my eye over the years. “Get Ready” is a beauty and is so buttery and creamy smooth that I know I will enjoy using it as its a colour that is quite neutral and wearable for everyday.

Total Value of March Ipsy Bag: $44.48

I can honestly say that I liked every single items in this bag! The eyeliner was a surprise as I was not expecting to like the colour and quality as much as I do and everything in this bag really does go together. The blue eyeliner pairs with the brown eyeshadows and the lipstick is nice and neutral. I can just just keep everything in this bag and travel with it! I think Ipsy did a great job for me for the month of March!
