The Body Shop | Wild Argan Oil Bath and Body Collection

Don’t you get excited whenever The Body Shop releases a new scent? I definitely have my absolute favourites (Satsumaaaaa!) and I am about to add another scent to the list. Argan oil has been a hot commodity the last couple of years in the form of hair or body oil, but now The Body Shop has released an extensive bath and body range in their brand new scent Wild Argan Oil. Oh, and it smells just as good as you’d think. It’s warm, rich and brings forth visions of places MUCH more exotic than my office. The idea behind launching such a large bath and body collection was to allow all women to create their own ritual of body care in their own homes just like Moroccan women who indulge in weekly cleansing rituals at their local hammam spa.

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Collection

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Bubbling Bath and Shower Gel

The first part of a bath and body ritual is to RELAX with the Wild Argan Oil Bubbling Bath ($12 CDN) which was VERY bubbly and left my skin feeling soft and lightly scented. This bubble bath is one of the more fragrant ones I have used and will make your bathroom smell amazing! The Wild Argan Oil Shower Gel ($9 CDN) is just like the classic Body Shop shower gels in terms of consistency and I really don’t feel like I need to go into a great amount of detail other than to let you know it smells awesome!

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Body Butter

Ah, no bath and body collection from The Body Shop is complete without a Body Butter ($6 CDN mini and $20 full size)! This is extremely hydrating and has a thick consistency like other Body Shop butters. I’m so glad that there are mini sizes now because it means being able to take your favourite body butter with you anywhere!

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Body Lotion

I often say this, but I like pumps for moisturizer because I hate getting product stuck underneath my long nails, BUT when something is in a pump, it also usually means that the consistency is thinner and therefore not quite as hydrating as something in a pot. The Wild Argan Oil Body Lotion ($12 CDN) has been my moisturizer of choice for the last month, but I have had to start applying the body butter to drier areas of my skin like my legs for an extra moisture blast. This IS one of my favourite products from the collection though.

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Miracle Solid Oil

I thought this was an interesting, yet fitting addition to the Wild Argan Oil collection as it is a Miracle Solid Oil for Body and Hair ($14 CDN) so you can smooth out frizz, flyaways or hydrate super dry skin. This stuff is pretty thick, so in my hair I just use a TINY amount and on my skin I use it more like a spot treatment for elbows and heels.

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Massage Soap

The Wild Argan Oil Massage Soap ($14 CDN) is ergonomically-shaped with a tapered end, but the bumps that are meant to massage actually hurt me. The only area I could comfortably use it was on my ever-fleshy derriere! Massage soaps have never been an item on my must-have list as the bumps eventually go away with every use so I don’t feel like paying for something that’s just temporary. To each their own though!

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Solid Oil Lips

Not a huge fan of potted lip balms because of the long nail issue, but I have been breaking my rule and happily using the Wild Argan Oil Solid Oil Lips ($6 CDN) because it is so thickly hydrating, but not like Vaseline. There is quite a bit of product in this pot considering I just use one clockwise swipe each application. Well worth the $6 for sure.

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Rough Scrub

I am a body exfoliating freak so I can safely say that the Wild Argan Oil Rough Scrub ($20 CDN) is my FAVOURITE product from the whole collection. I know it says, “rough scrub”, but I really don’t think it’s THAT rough. It has a wonderful grit to it that doesn’t melt away like some of the other Body Shop scrubs. I freakin’ love this stuff.

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Collection is available now at online and at all Body Shop locations across Canada.
