Korres | Wild Rose + Vitamin C Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial

My nightly skincare routine is VERY important to me as I think of it not as just downtime for me, but for my skin as well. I pamper it and make sure that I put it to bed hydrated and happy. After cleansing, toning and applying serum, every other night I always use a hydrating mask that I can comfortably wear to bed. I have tried a couple of different sleeping masks and some are so sticky that I find my face sticking to the pillow or covered in cat fur so I do prefer a mask that absorbs quickly.

So far, I have found one sleeping mask I like and now, I have found the second. The Korres Wild Rose + Vitamin C Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial ($48 CDN) is a sleeping facial/mask for ALL skin types and is formulated with Wild Rose oil and Vitamin C to combat premature aging and environmental stress. Its weightless and soufflé-like texture work to improve skin texture and promote even and brightened skin tone.

Contained in a glass jar, this sleeping mask looks and feels just like a thick moisturizer, but melts into skin right away. It also smells creamy and is not heavily fragranced.

Final Verdict: I have used Korres for years so I am familiar with the “goodness” and quality of their products. They use absolutely none of the scary stuff and stick to natural formulations (95% natural content) so I feel really good about using their products on my skin.

Wild Rose Oil: Rose oil is a dry oil that absorbs quickly into the skin without that greasy feeling making it perfect for creams and moisturizers. Like a lot of skincare ingredients, rose oil has a number of benefits and is a moisturizer, anti-depressant, antiseptic and is also able to reduce redness and hyperpigmentation. This is mainly due to the fact that rose oil also contains Vitamin C which is often used in skincare for brightening and fading dark spots.

I don’t have a lot of hyperpigmentation, so I cannot truly attest to that claim and truthfully, fading dark spots does take months. What I can say is that I loved the texture and feel of this sleeping facial and that when I woke up in the morning, my skin felt just as hydrated as the night before. I take really good care of my skin so personally it’s hard to say whether this sleeping facial is better than what I was using before, but I do enjoy using it because it felt like a big drink of water for my skin! Going into the drier season, this might be a mask/moisturizer to consider!

Sleeping facials? Is it something you’ve tried or do you see it as just another confusing product to add to your skincare routine?
