BATH | Lush Easter Collection

I will preface this by saying that it feels strange to be celebratory of anything lately and while I would normally start this post by saying "OMG it's the Lush Easter collection", I do want to acknowledge that whether you still wish to support this brand is up to you based on the recent lay-off that has happened with Lush and many other companies. I am part of the group of people that have been now temporarily laid off and though I hope I will have my job back in a few weeks, I know that it's hard for companies to make guarantees on ANYTHING right now. Promising to take care of people for 2 weeks is very different than 4 weeks and beyond and we are all going to be hurting financially for awhile before things go back to normal or if they even do. I can't say that I'm not scared and full of doubt over the coming weeks and there is only so much self-care I can do until the fear of uncertainty creeps back into my brain. The way I look at my self-care experience now, whether I am masking or using a bath bomb, is that I am trying to fill my day with as many positive thoughts and memories as I can in the hopes that I can look back on this time with a sense of growth and optimism. Now, let's look at some really cute Easter stuff and may each bath bomb be a blast of good energy!

Lush Easter Collection
Both PR gifted and purchased by me. PR gifted is denoted with a "*"

Cream Egg Bubbleroon*, Golden Egg Bath Bomb Melt* and Lucky Carrot Bubble Bar*
Lush Easter Collection

These are the bubble makers and I'm sure you have seen some of these before like The Golden Egg! This was one of the first Lush bubble bars I used (review) and despite it's glitter all over the tub, it just smells so good! If you love the toffee goodness of "Honey, I Washed the Kids" this egg is for you! It is also made with cocoa butter so your skin is hydrated after use as well!

The Lucky Carrot Bubble Bar is an easy one to enjoy with its lemon zesty scent and is considered "lucky" because of its clover-topped green roots. I prefer this one use carrot instead of the reusable bunch of carrots because I don't like leaving the bomb on the side of the tub for later use.

I just had to show the sandwiched creamy goodness of this Cream Egg Bubbleroon and highlight the fact that even though this looks like it will have the sweetest scent imaginable, it actually is a blend of spearmint and cocoa butter so it's creamy, but refreshing to the nose too. I've used a few of these from before and the bubbles are crazy and a just an overall great option for someone who might like the cuteness of an Easter egg, but want a scent that isn't too overpowering.

Dinosaur Egg Bombshell Bath Bomb*
Lush Easter Collection

This prehistoric pleasure is a blend of bergamot, grapefruit and cherry and is a BIG bomb so you can either be gangsta and use it ALL or split it up into potentially three baths! For $10.95, it's actually a great value! Oh and the little dinosaur inside is a bubble bar filled with popping candy! PARTAYYY!

Magic Rabbit Bomb*
Lush Easter Collection

I have used this one and featured on my Instagram stories and it's a cool one too with its citrus scent and popping candy fun! This magic hat is kind of a spooky swirl of purple and pink and even more creepy when the hat starts to melt away and all you see are the rabbit ears! The ears are embedded deeply into the bomb so you will not be able to remove them until you've done the dunk. The ears are just made of thin cardboard and can be used to write a little note if you are giving this as a gift.

Avo Good Easter and Sunnyside Up Shower Jelly
Lush Easter Collection

These are the soaps! These are the two breakfast classics I was most excited about and ended up ordering once Lush started doing free shipping over $40 because these this soap and shower jelly looked too edible to ignore! Though both soaps have a citrus scent, I can't say that it is my favourite citrus blend from Lush. As cute as the shower jelly is, the pineapple infusion isn't quite doing it for me. What I do like about the avocado soap is that it is more like two bars of soap because the size is again quite large as each side is larger than the palm of my hand. The shape makes it easy to hold in the shower and while you will be temporarily green while lathering up, this soap is hydrating and I get a kick out of using it.

Lush Easter Collection

Lush is still offering free shipping on $40+ until April 30th and whether you feel like buying from them now is your call, but for me, I will still be a customer of theirs and might do another order closer to the end of the month as I have a gift card waiting for me, but I hope everyone is safe, healthy (both physically and mentally) and trying their best to be positive, but also allowing themselves to have some negative moments too. You shouldn't feel badly that you don't want to bake bread or cookies every single day you are home. I thought I would have a six-pack after this was all over, but I really don't see that happening anymore and I am totally OK with it!
