Anytime Charlotte Tilbury releases new makeup, my social media blows up with products I need to have with beautiful swatches and wearable looks that I feel I can pull off because the colour stories are so cohesive. The newest addition to the Pillow Talk family was a big one and though I already owned the Matte Revolution lipstick and lip liner, after waiting a couple of weeks, I started seriously thinking of adding some of the newer products to my makeup collection which resulted in THIS post and makeup look! Suffice it to say, I have new go-tos in my makeup life!

Cheek to Chic Swish and Glow Blusher in Pillow Talk Intense*
When it comes to Charlotte Tilbury's blushes, they are one of the best for both pigmentation and formula. The powders are finely milled and I have always loved the idea of swirling the outside to get the blush colour and then "popping" the center with a brush to get the glow of a highlighter. What I will say about the Intense version of the Pillow Talk blush is that it is truly intense. I kind of went in like normal and got a *BOOM* of blush on my cheeks that I did my best to blend out with a clean brush. A light hand is plenty if you have a similar skintone to mine so you won't need to "swish" the whole circumference of the pan!
Beauty Light Wand in Pillow Talk*
This is a liquid highlighter with a cushion applicator. Though the applicator is plush and nicely rounded to provide a softness to the edges where product is applied, I never use it and prefer to use my fingers instead. The highlight shade itself is quite nice and truly makes you look luminous in a non-glittery way and can be used on the cheekbones, brow bone, cupid's bow and really anywhere you want to feel glowy.

The Luxury Palette in Pillow Talk* and Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk Medium*
When I first opened this palette, I thought it was nice, but just so "neutral". Then I played around with it for about a week for work because it's one of those palettes where you just can't mess up as there aren't any overwhelmingly dramatic shades. Now that I have given this palette a shot, I get why people would enjoy it so much. All four shades together was indeed a neutral look, but it just made me look softly pretty. I looked sweet and put together while the pop of glitter made the look just a hint more special. While most of us probably have all of these shades already, it all depends on whether you have them all together in a nice little quad. The fact that this combination is pretty much foolproof is also a huge plus if you are someone who is hesitant about buying a palette and only using a portion of the shades.
I don't really have too much to say about the Matte Revolution lipstick as I have reviewed a few of these here already, but I am really loving the darker Medium shade! I have the original lighter pink Pillow Talk and though I do like it for a super nude lip, it is quite pink and most days I prefer to wear a darker neutral lip.
Collagen Lip Bath in Pillow Talk*
I think it's a bit misleading to call this a collagen lip bath when all it really is is a lip gloss as the soluble collagen is all the way at the bottom of the ingredients list, but because your lips look so glossy and glowy after you apply this, the mental image of the collagen and lips looking more plump make you think it's the collagen when really it's probably not. The applicator is neat as it keeps the gloss application precise, but I find that the neck of the bottle removes too much product (it's quite tight when pulling the wand out) so that by the time I get to my top lip, I want to dip back into the tube. It is a perfectly nice formula and colour, but for $40 I think there are far better options for neutral lip glosses out there. If you truly are looking for a collagen treatment, I would rather get a skincare product entirely dedicated to collagen boosting and apply it separately.
Pillow Talk Instant Eye Palette
I was convinced I wouldn't pick this palette up because the first nine shades seemed too matte and uninteresting, but then I had a little makeover at the CT Holt Renfrew counter from a lovely MUA named Jade and my eyes were opened. I mean literally, she gave me some serious peepers! While the very red "Dream" trio is a pretty dramatic for day-to-day, the other three trios are so easy to use and so pretty to wear to work. They are also lovely for a casual day out as you can have a smoky eye without feeling like you're bringin' the drama.
I found all of the shadows blendable a fair amount of product being picked up on my brush and pigmentation is nothing short of Charlotte's typical Grade A standards. I only wish each of the shades in the "Dream" trio looked more distinctive on my lids (as you will see in my makeup look below), but I still thought the shades were very pretty.

A part of me wants to keep the unicartons for all of the products because they are so pretty and pink, but I know it's also kind of ridiculous too. Have you been eyeing the Pillow Talk collection as well? I know now is really not the time to be spending money frivolously, but maybe once this is all over we can feel less guilty about spoiling ourselves. Stay strong, healthy and sane everyone!
