HASK Macadamia Oil | Nourish and Revive Dry Hair with Shine Hair Oil and Deep Conditioner

I have really been struggling with my hair as of late and in addition to trying out some new shampoos (review) I have also been experimenting with some new hair treatments from HASK. If you haven’t heard of HASK before, they have 4 main lines: Argan Oil, Keratin Protein, Macadamia Oil and Monoi Oil each of which contain shampoos, conditioners, shine oils and deep conditioning treatments. All of HASK’s products are free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, alcohols and artificial colours and what I love about all of their products is that everything is incredibly affordable.

HASK Macadamia Oil Deep Conditioner and Shine Hair Oil

For the last week, I have been putting to the test the Moisturizing Shine Hair Oil ($3.49-$4.99) and Moisturizing Deep Conditioner ($3.49-$4.99) from the Macadamia Oil line. This line specifically targets dry hair with macadamia oil mimicking our scalp’s natural oils as well as adding essential fatty acids and antioxidants all promising to keep hair soft and shiny. Macadamia oil is able to penetrate the hair shaft because of its low molecular weight allowing it to repair and restore damage to hair.

Moisturizing Deep Conditioner

THIS stuff I liked. At first I thought that a little 50g pack like this was not going to cut it, but when I squeezed the product out I realized how thick it was AND how little I would need. I have long hair so most of you will probably need much less. The scent of this is described as a vanilla nut gourmand and it smells DIVINE. It reminded me of a fine chocolatier. Mmmm…

I have been applying this treatment every other day to unwashed, but wet hair as I have found that my favourite activity of shampooing every day has been overly drying. I massage this treatment into my hair and leave it on for the duration of my shower (about 10-15 minutes). I noticed right away that after rinsing out my hair and letting it air dry, there were far less fewer frizzies and my hair was drying like the sleek mane of beautiful unicorn. The next morning, straightening it made it even shiner! Talk about quick results!

Moisturizing Shine Hair Oil

This is probably one of the lightest hair oils I have ever used. I always worry about overdoing it with hair oils where instead of giving my hair softness and shine, I’ve made it look like it weighs a freakin’ ton. This hair oil can be used on both wet and dry hair and works best on the mid-section to ends. I braided my hair before I went to bed and in the morning I had SHINY waves! I feel like I have so few good hair days that when I see shine without frizz and dryness, all is right with the world.

Final Verdict: For the price and results, both of these Macadamia Oil treatments are two treatments I will continue to use throughout this dry hair spell. I love the vanilla nut scent and of course how well my hair responded to the treatments! I hope you all are able to give these a try (or maybe there will be something happening here on the blog that will allow you to do just that in the form of a giveaway???)
